NEW REGULATIONS ON CLASSIFICATION OF BUILDINGS

On June 30, 2021, the Ministry of Construction issued Circular No. 06/2021/TT-BXD on classification of buildings with effect from August 15, 2021.

Basically, Circular 06/2021/TT-BXD is similar to the replaced Circular No. 03/2016/TT-BXD as classification of buildings based on:

1. Capacity

2. Importance

3. Structural scale

With Sicom, the biggest difference is the increasement in the scale of Grade II structure from 8 to 20 floors in Circular No. 03/2016/TT-BXD to 8 to 24 floors in Circular No. 06/2021/TT - BXD.
